Our Mission
From uncertainty to identity — Discovering YOU from God’s Lens.
The teenagers of Upper Darby and the greater Philadelphia area face a converging set of obstacles: identity confusion, socioeconomic pressure, fractured mentorship, and a culture of distraction without direction. L.I.G.H.T. Ministry exists to walk with them — through equipping and empowering them through intensive discipleship.
We don’t run programs at students. We sit with them. We name the obstacles. We train them to overcome.

Methodical & Structured Teaching:
A clear, in-depth, Bible-based curriculum that teaches doctrine, Kingdom principles, and Wisdom for everyday life.
Mission + Service
Mission Work & Service Opportunities:
Hands-on opportunities for mentees to serve in God’s work while developing leadership, critical thinking, and hospitality skills.
Exposure
Outings + Network of Mentors:
Opportunities such as retreats and trips that broaden perspective and create meaningful growth experiences.

Why Upper Darby
Hyper-local. On purpose.
Upper Darby sits on Philadelphia’s western city line — one of Pennsylvania’s most ethnically and culturally diverse townships, and one of the most under-resourced for youth. Poverty, gang activity, and a shortage of safe spaces shape the daily reality of the students we serve.
We’re not a regional ministry trying to scale outward. We’re a neighborhood ministry choosing to go deeper. Dayjoh’s calling is to this place and these people — and that’s where the work stays.
