Joy Nights · Local Reach
The first room. The easiest yes.
Joy Nights are where it begins. Low-barrier, high-warmth gatherings for the teenagers of Upper Darby — the doorway into everything else L.I.G.H.T. does.
What It Is
A safe, joyful space — built for teenagers, by people who get it.
Food. Games. Music. Real conversation. Joy Nights are intentionally simple — because the simplest thing for many of these students is the hardest thing they can find: a room where they’re welcome, full stop.
It’s the entry point to the L.I.G.H.T. pathway. Students who first show up at Joy Nights are the ones who later step into a L.I.G.H.T. Weekend, who later get connected to mentors, who later bring a friend.

What to Expect
No pressure. No performance.
A Real Meal
Come hungry.
Food is the table around which everything else happens. Plates are full, conversation is open.
Real People
Show up as you are.
You don’t have to dress a certain way, believe a certain thing, or have it figured out. Showing up is the whole bar.
Real Talk
Truth, on a teenager’s terms.
A short, honest devotional. Space for questions. No script that needs you to nod along.
